The Difference Between Form-based Auth and SAML

SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is a language standard that allows a user to log on once for affiliated but separate websites.  Use SAML for a secure connection that will automatically update a user's login information if it has been changed.

Form-based Auth is the simple action of filling out the username and password for the user.  Although Form-based Auth is simpler to set up than SAML, if a users details are updated within Litmos, this change will not be reflected within OneLogin.
