About Keyword Questions
Keyword questions allow administrators to ask a question which the learner will need to respond with text. If the text matches the keyword(s) that the administrator has set, then the question will be marked as correct. If the learner does not enter text that matches the keyword(s) set by the administrator, then the question will be marked as incorrect.
Parameters of Keywords
- Additional words will not cause the question to be marked incorrect but missing words will cause the answer to be incorrect. Example: If the keyword is "Litmos" and a learner writes "I love Litmos" the question will be marked correct. This works only if the correct answer is one single keyword. If we add an answer with two words example : "Apple Mango", any additional word between these words will be marked incorrect. So, if a user answers this is "Apple and Mango", the system will consider it as incorrect. Please be mindful when entering phrases or word strings.
- Capitalization does not count. Example: If the keyword is "Litmos" and a learner writes "litmos" the question will be marked correct.
- If more than one keyword answer is added to the question, either keyword answer can be used to satisfy the keyword question answer. Example: If the keywords are "Litmos" and "CallidusCloud", and a learner writes "Litmos" the question will be marked correct.
- Spacing will be counted against a correct answer. Example: If the keyword is "CallidusCloud" and a learner writes "Callidus Cloud", the question will be marked incorrect.
